SUNIL HEAT have designed sealed mica nozzle band heaters to prevent the failure of the nozzle heaters against the leakage & contamination of plastic material at the nozzle position. These heaters meet the required temperature prior to moulding at the nozzle position. These heaters are hermatically sealed during the manufacturing process. The connection between the heating element & the leads is protected by a special terminal cap made of brass Imm thick. The terminal cap is brazed which allows a high mechanical strength in the most delicate area of the heater i.e. the termination.

The heating of the nozzle in injection machines is still a big problem owning to subsequent stops in the production process and cost incidents. We have seen a large series of cases causing an early failure most of them are due to plastic leakage impregnating the heater and causing heater failure. These problems are solved by using our sealed mica nozzle band heaters. There can be
custom built entry points for termination considering customers requirements, alternative tubular nozzle heaters are available. Benefits for user is minimum raw material waste. No freeze off of the plastic at the nozzle. Heater does not fail in case of pilferage at nozzle.
